Peer Support is a whole-school initiative which partners trained older students with a group of younger students to encourage discussion about issues and problems they may encounter or are already facing.  Senior students act as mentors, educating junior students on how to handle peer pressures, provide support and teach life skills which empower young students.  The program gives older students leadership skills and opportunities for self-development, whilst providing a supportive environment for younger students to develop self-confidence, individuality, resilience and tools to help in resisting harmful peer pressure.

The Peer Support Student Booklet supports students undertaking Peer Support Leadership Training by teaching them skills in creating a friendly group, communication, discussion, helping others and managing a group.  It also provides students with a suggested 10 week outline of a Peer Support Program to implement with younger students including activities and discussion points.
