Young people can become disconnected from their peers and others due to a lack of communication and social skills.  Research has shown that young people with poor communication skills can be lonelier; more isolated and often feel a greater sense of personal failure.

The Communicate Game uses drama to teach better communication and life skills including communication, connection, co-operation and creativity.

During the game, students are divided into The Players, The Directors, and The Crew.  They create a dramatized scenario combining everyday activities and situations, with elements that highlight differing communicative behaviour.  The structure of Communicate allows students to explore and discuss effective communication strategies, reflect on negative and positive relationship behaviours, and develop skills in providing specific and meaningful feedback to peers.
